Rocket takes on documentary “Essex Lorry Killers”

Rocket Rights acquired the international distribution rights for a unique British documentary Essex Truck Killer Hunt.

Produced by British company Expectation for BBC Two, the film traces the investigation into the deaths of 39 Vietnamese migrants who suffocated in the back of a truck in October 2019 while being trafficked to the Kingdom -United.

Rocket Rights CEO Matthew Frank commented: “This incredibly moving film deals with an extremely difficult story with so much humanity and respect. It’s also a gripping and compelling account of the investigation as police assemble tiny pieces of evidence that ultimately bring those responsible to justice. “

The Kings

The protagonist crowned distributor of “The Kings”

London-based Protagonist Pictures took over Showtime boxing docuseries The Kings for dissemination.

The four-part series was directed by Mat Whitecross and produced by Fiona Neilson, with James Gay Rees of Box to Box Films and Paul Martin as executive producers.

It follows the story of the Four Kings: “Sugar” Ray Leonard, Roberto “Hands of Stone” Durán, Thomas “The Hitman” Hearns and “Marvelous” Marvin Hagler. Each of these legends beat insurmountable odds, overcame terrible odds, and their exciting encounters are said to be among the greatest in boxing history.

“It was a huge honor to tell the story of ‘The Kings’ – four of the greatest boxers to ever step into the ring. Love it or hate it, the sport of boxing speaks to our humanity essential and broader conflicts within society and between nations. pivotal decade, ”commented Whitecross.

Inside Beverly Hills: The Land of the Rich and Famous

Channel 4 is heading to Beverly Hills

British broadcaster Channel 4 has acquired a new three-part series from Spun Gold TV exploring one of the most glamorous places on the planet.

Inside Beverly Hills: The Land Of The Rich And Famous (3 x 60 minutes) reveals a new side of the world famous home and playground of the rich, the beautiful and the very famous. Viewers can look inside its opulent homes, hotels and businesses to see how the other half spend their time working, resting and playing.

All3Media International owns the distribution rights worldwide.

Rive Gauche hits factual sales

Broadcasters such as TF1 in France and CBS Reality have acquired a multitude of factual programs, following agreements with Rive Gauche from Aftershock Media.

The murderous truth was taken over by TF1 in France and Foxtel Australia, while Very scary people was placed with A + E Networks UK Crime + Investigation channel in UK and Germany.

Frozen killers was acquired by Discovery Italy, while Seven One Germany picked up Evil twins and Foxtel Australia added the last seasons of The homicide elite, Trace of Evil and Very scary people to its composition.

Japan collaboration picked up episodes of crime series Homicide hunter, while Crime + Investigation in the UK and Foxtel Australia have also renewed several seasons of Homicide hunter.

Meanwhile, Pluto TV has acquired 435 hours of factual content from Rive Gauche, to debut in markets such as the US, UK, Spain and Latin America.

Titles include Homicide hunter, Dog whisperer with Caesar Milan and My crazy obsession.
